Before I give you my recs for this week… just let me say thank you to all of you who reced us stories in our latest entry!!! You guys are awesome!!! Very, very awesome!!! :-))

And now, here are the goodies for this week:

Title: Not A Word
Author: __tiana__
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: R
Word Count: 3,130
Summary: When Jared can’t speak, he and Jensen have to figure out new ways to communicate.
Notes: Non-AU. I think, one of the most torturous things that could happen to Jared is to get stripped from his ability to talk. So, Jensen has to be there to pick up the pieces and make him feel better. I love how, at first, Jensen is kinda overwhelmed with the situation. But then he realizes…it’s JARED. And everything starts to fall into place and seems just so simple and natural. The characterization of the boys is just perfect.

Title: Any Day Now, It's Gonna Happen
Author: nola_rue
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 11,335
Summary: Jared's parents are away for the summer, they have Megan along with them, so it's just Jared and Jeff...only Jeff decides to go off to himself. BUT their mom would kill him if he left soon to be 17 Jared alone. So he has his friend Jensen come over to 'babysit' him.
Notes: Awww... young and innocent Jared is faced with young and not-so-innocent-anymore Jensen. Worlds kinda collide… there is childishness, stubbornness and ignorance … but the outcome of this mix? Well… read for yourself. For me, the only flaw of this story is, that it’s kinda short. At the end you wish for it to go on and on and on b/c you just cant get enough of the world created here. *sigh*

Title: Honey Flower, Apple and Lime (or, The Tale Of The Rake And The Footman)
Author: veronamay
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 29,864
Summary: The year is 1855. Jensen is the scion of a wealthy Dallas family, heir to a ranching empire that stretches across the American Southwest. Until now, he has led a life of carefree abandon, charming his way into boudoirs and out of entanglements by dint of his silver-tongued wit. After his father's sudden death, Jensen is sent to London by his stepmother to acquire a wife during the Season. Threatened with disinheritance should he make an unsuitable match, he arrives on the doorstep of his friend Welling's household prepared-reluctantly-to do his duty. Everything changes, however, when he lays eyes upon the Wellings' newest footman. Padalecki is tall, strong, intelligent and beautiful-everything Jensen admires in a man. From the moment they meet, Jensen is willing to risk everything to gain the gorgeous Texan's love. But Padalecki wants nothing to do with Jensen ... or does he?
Notes: First, I have to say, I am not a fan of historical stories. Usually I skip them. So, the only reason I read this story, is, because the author is awesome! And man, I did not get disappointed. The writing style is awesome as always… and I love the set up of the story and the fact that nothing can come between destiny… even when both boys come from different ends of society. It’s a very believable and real set-up. Imho…

Title: Too Far To Care
Author: fahrbot and karabou
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 37,000
Summary: Jensen was eighteen years old when his family home burned to the ground, taking all but his baby sister with it. Now grown, with a man's responsibilities and a chip on his shoulder a mile wide, he's faced with the last thing he ever expected - a growing attraction to the son of the man responsible for it all.
Notes: Oh man… I really, really felt for Jensen in this story. Finally he got his life together, past deep buried in the back of his head… and all it took to bring the demons to the surface again, is the meeting of a stranger. I enjoyed the slow built up between the boys, how Jensen was portrayed with his inner conflict… and how Jared desperately tried to figure out what he did wrong and then doubled his efforts to win Jensen over.

Title: This Is You, According To Me
Author: mediaville
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 4,600
Summary: In which Jared comes to learn that Jensen really has no clue.
Notes: First of all… HOT!! Secondly… VERY HOT!! (nah, I am not shallow! Stop looking at me!! lol ) There is one sentence somewhere at the end of the story: “I could have explained the whole thing to you. But sometimes I just have to let you figure things out for yourself, Jensen.” And exactly THIS is what I loved about the fic. The boys are so different and yet, with everything they do, you can see that they are meant to be. Even if it takes someone a little bit longer to figure it out. And even then, there are no huge words or long speeches... they just BE.
