Forever, One Embrace

I wrapped my arms around the top of her
She put her arms around my middle
I held her as close as I felt I could
I held her close, and I knew I should
My cheek rests lightly on her hair
And I embrace her so well
She smelled not of a garden
Where lilies and a rose will dance
Her scent was not unique
I know I've found it times before
And shall again, without surprise
But now, when it drifts to me sweetly
I know, I'll find her in the scent
Her fragrance was beautiful
I wish to stop the day, and the sun, and time
And stay with her, right here, forever
(Then maybe when forever ends,
We'll return to this life, here -
Such a wonderful life, now she is here)
-joff.
