 My poor, poor dwarves. Everything was going well. They braved snowstorms, years without seeing migrants or caravans, they had to drink water instead of beer (!) but they got the colony working. They mined iron and gold, they found underground caves where the mushrooms grew high as trees and they had set up their fortress completely underground.
