just... wow.
Last night was the night! The night where I saw The Police!!!!!!!!! =]
It was amazing. I don't get how those guys can be pretty old, but still so beast on the drums and guitar. Practice, I guess, and doing the same songs for decades. Sting's voice was pretty good, too... except he didn't sing as high as I expected on So Lonely. I felt pretty sad, though, because I just wanted to dance my butt off, but the fat people around me [including Garrett] didn't stand up, and I couldn't be that guy.
Elvis Costello sounded great, too. It was my first time seeing him with his band [The Imposters, not The Attractions- different bass player]. It was bunk, though, because they didn't turn on the screen for him. We had great seats- section 122 I think... but I still would have liked to see that classy fellow's face.
Best birthday present EVER.
The Police have some fancy merch. All the shirts looked fabulous, but I did not feel like shelling out $35 for one. I probably wouldn't have even been able to pick just one... so my daddy bought me a sweet little purse. And a lanyard. For my Red Cross ID!!!! =] =D
Yesterday I also saw Iron Man. It was a good flick... I just get super annoyed in packed theatres. People annoy me when they laugh at dumb shit, or shout out... it makes me angry. Yeah, but the movie was great.. even Gwenyth Paltrow was acceptable. The highlight of the film was not Robert Downey Jr.'s ridiculous amount of hotness, but the Hydrogen Powered Bus. It made my day that someone else thinks hydrogen powered vehicles are where it's at.
So, yeah, been hella busy. This is only the beginning. Altogether this pay week [last Saturday to Friday] I worked 20 hours at ARC and 18.5 at the library, and had 2 non-cumulative exams. This week [yesterday to Saturday] I will work 20 at ARC, 19 at the library, and 1 huge final exam I definitely need an A on to come close to the magickal 4.0 I want this semester. Then next week begins 20 at ARC and 30-35 at library... fun. Not. Or maybe. =]
