Okay, so after much rigmarole, John informs me that he believes Alex's boo boo to be the result of a fungal... thing. Possibly ringworm. He shaved the area a bit, scrubbed it, and applied some anti-fungal spray.
And yes, Alex had to be sedated. --But not before she bit Barry, went for Michelle's eyes, clawed Stacy, and pissed and shat all over the exam table. All this in under a minute, or so I am given to understand. [insert Josh in the background wailing "But my little girl is just a free spiriiiiitttttttt!"]
John sent me home with a bottle of anti-fungal spray, which we are to apply twice daily for two weeks. Two weeks. My arm is currently sporting some fresh gouges.

In other news, since I only have 6 working days left (but really, who's counting?) I have decided that I am going to try to get involved with something I have always wanted to-- the SCA. Oh, great great SCA gurus, I have a bazillion questions! The most pressing of which is What do I need to do first?
