It's been a while. If you posted anything of extreme interest since my last post (about the beginning of November maybe?) and before thanksgiving, I couldn't get to my friends page to read it somewhat easily. Let me know!
What's been going on in my life? As you might remember, I moved, and my desktop computer died in the same weekend. Total suckage. The computer is a motherboard problem. Nothing to do about that for a while, especially since it's an ollllldddd machine. So I'm using my laptop. Got an analog monitor cable so I can still watch movies on my normal monitor. Learning how to keep fewer windows open due to the resources drain.
The housewarming was good. Seems I forgot to invite a whole bunch of people what the the computer dying and trying to get stuff unpacked, and then shoving stuff into the closet despite the fact that it was not yet unpacked. Got a proper bed over Thanksgiving. Rather comfortable. Got the sheets etc for it on Black Friday too. Nothing like shopping at 5am! Love it! (just that once a year, mind you. Don't ask me to go to Wal-Mart with you at 5am unless it's for something REALLY cool!)
Watched a whole bunch of movies since Blockbuster online now do the whole "trade your online rentals for an in-store rental and we'll mail you your next online rental asap" thing. It's lovely. Last night I started watching Dr. Strangelove, and fell asleep in it... Again. Last time was years ago when Erin and i were watching it when she still lived with her parents in GA. Hope to see the end of this movie tonight.
As for work... Field trip today. Wore me out. And now I have to deal with them for the REST of the WEEK. hooray. I miss June. (the month, not any person called June.) Reading Constant Gardener in my "free" time right now. Actually took a walk by the river yesterday evening with it. Sat against a tree and read for a while. Would have liked to stay out longer, and when I was by the river I was rather in the woods -- did not know how far I would have to walk to get out of the woods. The sun was setting, which was beautiful. Don't want to get lost now, do I?
