This is my very personal top ten comedy moments list. You will see no Fawlty Towers, Only Fools and Horses or Two Ronnies here, not because those guys aren't comedy geniuses but because those aren't my all time favourite jokes (shock horror).
Oh also, this isn't a definite, definite order (because I can't make those sorts of decisions), but I have tried to put them in a vague order, with the most favourite at number 10.

Campus, series one, episode one, "Publication, publication, publication", Jonty De Wolf tries to encourage the professor of English to be more creative, in his own special way
If the little bit of magic isn't enough to persuade you then you should go and find the follow up clip to this at the end of the episode. Andy Nyman running through a library in a green dress should do it.

Garth Marenghi, series one, episode one, "Once Upon A Beginning", a patient and friend of Rick's funeral doesn't go quite as planned.
I annoyingly can't find a clip for this so the GIFs will have to do for here, but trust me when I say it is worth fast-forwarding through the first episode to see it properly. Richard Ayoade brandishing a machine gun is priceless. The best kind of ridiculous.

Monty Python, The Life of Brian, Stan, of the People's Front of Judea, doesn't want to be a man anymore.
Complete absurdity but oddly touching. Clever people acting stupid. And a little bit mental.

The Mighty Boosh, series one, episode one "Killeroo", why Bob Fossil doesn't like cricket and the invention of the Pocket Cup.
This is my favourite Bob Fossil scene (and he is my favourite Boosh character) and I just think it's fantastic. The dancing and the completely nonsensical nature of everything he does. Plus, I really want a pocket cup.

The IT Crowd, series two, episode two, "Return of the Golden Child", Moss calculates Roy's date of death
Roy's answers to the questions, especially, do you get your five fruit and veg, are ingenious, and the delivery is also brilliant. Good joke writing combined with good acting is always a winner.

QI, series G, episode five, "Groovy", Bill Bailey and Alan Davies discuss where the Osmonds got their songs from.
Just watch it. I cannot pin point a reason why this make me laugh so much, it just does.

(can't find a clip, the quote will have to do)
Manny: Well, I’ll be off then, since it’s all over between us. I’ll write.
Bernard: I won’t read it.
Manny: Well, I’ll call.
Bernard: I’ll hang up.
Manny: Well, I’ll come and see you.
Bernard: I’ll be dead by then
Black Books, series three, episode one, "Manny Come Home", Manny decides to leave Black Books, and reassures Bernard he will keep in touch.
Oh what do I say about Bernard Black. Such fantastic characterisation, and even when I anticipate when he is going to say or do (which, to be fair, isn't that often) it still manages to make me chuckle.

A Bit of Fry and Laurie, series four, episode three, Fry and Laurie play the game show Don't Be Dirty, in which the aim is to not say anything dirty when describing a given topic.
Don't you know that innuendo is my favourite comedy? Also, stupid accents and games with incomprehensible rules (see Mitchell and Webb Numberwang)

The Office, series two, outtakes
It was very hard to choose a specific scene from this marvelous show, but I knew I needed to have one in this list. In the end, I cheated and went for an outtake, because I don't think I have ever cried with laughter so much. (It is the specific outtake, with Martin Freeman and Ricky Gervais, beginning at 2.35 and ending at 4.34. Over 25 takes and Martin Freeman crying in a corner. It almost doesn't get better than this.)

The League of Gentlemen, series one, episode five, "Love Comes to Royston Vasey", Mick McNamara takes you for a cave tour around the infamous Stump Hole Caverns.
This is my absolute favourite because of the flawless delivery from Mr Mark Gatiss. The absolutely dead pan voice saying such horrendous things is perfect comedy. The not-so-subtle dirty joke and the characters completely flawed mental state cannot be beaten. Tragedy should not be so funny. (I would just like to say that it is actually the sketch from the TV series I prefer, rather than this one from the live show, but I couldn't find a clip of the TV version)
And I think I'm happy with that. Sorry if any of the videos don't work. It shouldn't be too hard to find them on YouTube or somewhere thought.
