Letter came from Target today regarding my conditional employment. This particular Target I applied to drug tests every applicant, and two weeks have passed since I took it.
It read:
"Thank you for your interest in Target. As part of our Drug Free Workplace Policy, we require individuals to report to the collection site within 24-hours after being instructed to take a required drug and/or alcohol test.
Target has recieved information indicating that you did not submit to a drug and/or alcohol test. In the event that you disagree with our records, please contact ChoicePoint and this matter will be investigated further upon request. Please have your copy of the Custody and Control Form that was provided to you at the time of collection available for the call."
Okay, Target. You want to dick me around? Fine. But at the end of this game of tag, I better either a. get the job or b. retake the test and then get the job less than a week later. All this corporate bullshit better be worth it. But I already know it isn't, they gave me a proposed pay rate of $8.00/hr. But I shouldn't complain, I was making only $7.75/hr after a recent raise when I quit my other job.
Lesson well learned: Have a job ready to switch to when you decide to quit. I am such an impulsive bastard. ~.~
