Quinn sits at her tidy desk and tries to focus on her Spanish assignment, but guilt has been pumping viciously through her veins all day. She feels horrible. She's such a bitch.
"Are you going to hurt me?" She remembers Rachel saying with a shaky voice.
"Fuck." Quinn says under her breath, throwing her pen down. She opens her laptop and types in Rachel's Myspace URL, deciding to, I don't know, just check if she's okay or whatever.
"Jesus," She rolls her eyes looking at the overly pink layout, and hundreds of videos of her singing. She closes the page quickly, wondering why she even bothered going on there in the first place. The girl irritates her.
Her eyes drop back to the Spanish assignment. "Love." The title says in big letters. That's when inspiration floods her, she's not sure why or anything, but the idea comes to her. She opens a new document and begins typing, tapping her long fingers against the keys quickly.
"Love is inexplicable." She begins.

"Okay, Quinn, do you want to read your assignment to the class?" Mr Schuester calls on Quinn. She nods shyly, for once, a little nervous about reading it.
Quinn makes her way to the front of the room, briefly scanning her classmates. She meets Rachel's eyes, but the small girl quickly looks down. Quinn felt guilty again. Rachel was afraid of her.
She started reading, her voice a little shaky to start with.
"Love is inexplicable. It's something you can only understand by feeling." She reads out in Spanish. "Most people start questioning whether or not they feel love when they get to our age, but the truth is, love doesn't need to be questioned. If you're asking, it isn't love."
Will nodded, watching her carefully.
"How can anyone begin to explain love? It creeps up on you, and you realise it when you least expect. It can even start with hate, until you realise those strong feelings... they aren't hatred. Those feelings are fear. Fear that you love someone." She pauses slightly, scanning the class again. Some people are looking at her with deep interest, some are bored and not paying attention in the slightest. "When you realise that you like someone, maybe even love them, of course it's scary. Who wants to open themselves up to someone who may not love them back?" Her Spanish is almost perfect as it rolls off her tongue.
Rachel watches, her heart pounding at the passion in Quinn's words.
"And when you treat someone badly because you're afraid, you can only hope that they forgive you for that. Because it's going to be that person's biggest regret, hurting the one they love." She continues.
"Love is inexplicable. It's something words will never fully describe, but inside, we understand. But that's okay, because the best way to tell someone you love them, is to show it." She concludes.
Will applauds her. "Wow Quinn! That was... inspiring. A+" He smiles at her. She returns the smile shyly and takes her seat again.
"Okay guys, that's all we have time for. Tune in next time for more Spanishy goodness." Will grins at the class. Quinn chuckles.
The class empties quickly, but Quinn takes a little longer as she packs up her papers.
"That was really good Quinn. I loved the passion." Will said, closing the space between them and helping the blonde fit her books into her bag.
"Thanks Mr Shue," She smiles shyly.
"You're the only person who didn't try to explain what love feels like." He said, frowning a little in confusion. "It's interesting." He says.
"Well, love is a complex thing. And I'm not in love." She tells him firmly. Will nods.
"Try to bring that passion to Glee today." He smiles at her. She returns the smile and leaves.

School ends, and Quinn makes her way to the Glee Club. Rachel is, of course already there, she's sitting alone, while Santana and Brittany laugh about something.
She automatically starts towards Britanny and Santana. Then reconsiders. But she can't talk to Rachel yet. She doesn't know what to say. She sits alone.
"Hey guys, sorry I'm a little late." Will says as he walks in. The rest of the group flood into the room shortly after.
"Following today's Spanish class, I thought this week's Glee assignment would be love. Rachel, anything you want to sing for us?" He asks the diva, knowing she always has something to offer. But the brunette just shakes her head.
"No, sorry." She says quietly. Quinn looks at her curiously, before raising her hand.
"I have something Mr Shue."
"Go for it Quinn," he steps back and lets Quinn stand in front of the class.
The band begin to play.
"Your lipstick stains
On the front lobe of my left side brains
I knew I wouldn't forget you
And so I went and let you blow my mind
Your sweet moonbeam
The smell of you in every single dream I dream
I knew when we collided you're the one I have decided
Who's one of my kind."
The class join in on the chorus. Even Mr Shue joins in.
"Hey soul sister, hey there mister, mister
On the radio, stereo
The way you move ain't fair you know
Hey soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you do tonight."
"Just in time, I'm so glad you have a one track mind like me
You gave my life direction
A game show love connection, we can't deny
I'm so obsessed "
"My heart is bound to beat right out my untrimmed chest " Mr Shue points to his chest with a grin.
"I believe in you, like a virgin, you're Madonna
And I'm always gonna wanna blow your mind ."
Rachel takes the chorus with Quinn this time, smiling shyly. Quinn smiles back, her confidence growing next to the petite brunette.
The gang finish laughing together making Quinn's heart swell in her chest. She thinks about love, about how she truly does loves these guys, her friends.
Rachel looks at her with another shy smile, and Quinn nudges her gently.
"I'm sorry," she mouths to the smaller girl. Rachel nods, accepting the apology.
"I wonder if Quinn is bipolar," Rachel thinks absently.
"Okay guys, think about love this week. I want a few songs by next week, okay?" Mr Shue grins at the class. "See you in class guys." He says as they all leave.

Quinn fumbles for her keys by her car. She can't wait to get home. It's been a long day.
"Quinn?" A quiet voice comes from behind her. She spins around quickly.
"Rachel?"
"Can we talk?" She asks, her eyes darting from Quinn's eyes to her own shoes. Quinn just nods.
"Get in," She gestures to her car.
They both relax into their seats as Quinn drives them somewhere. Rachel doesn't really know where she's going, and it makes her a bit nervous, but okay. She doesn't have a choice now anyway.
The car ride is almost silent, aside from Quinn's occasional road rage, that Rachel can't help but find slightly scary, but adorable all the same.
"MORON." Quinn yells out of the window. "Oh. Sorry," she mumbles, blushing as she remembers she isn't alone. Rachel supresses a grin.
"It's okay,"
They pull up at a small coffee shop that Rachel hasn't seen before. The warm walls are friendly and inviting, and the black & white pictures of the cafe when it first opened are kind of sweet.
Quinn orders a coffee with a shot of almond, and Rachel orders a cup of tea. They then take a seat at a small table for two in the corner.
"Okay Berry. Let's talk." Quinn says coming off a little brash due to nerves.
"I'm... I mean... I kissed you." Rachel whispers the last words.
"I'm aware of that Rach," Quinn chuckles from behind her mug. Butterflies flutter inside her. Quinn has never called her Rach before.
"You were right, I took advantage of your emotional state, and I feel terrible, I'll never do it again, and I deserve to be punished, you're right," she babbles nervously, but Quinn rests her hand on Rachel's a little awkwardly.
"Don't worry about it. It's forgotten. Friends?" She smiles. Rachel hesitates, but nods regardless.
"We are friends, right?" The blonde questions.
"Of course!" Rachel responds quickly, she didn't want Quinn to think they aren't friends. They definitely are friends. Quinn watches the brunette curiously, making her nervous under the blonde's gaze.
"Rachel, can I ask you a question?" The brunette responds with a cautious nod.
"Why did you do it?" She asks. Rachel's heart sinks. She really didn't want Quinn to ask that.
"I... I don't know?" Rachel stammers. Quinn looks into her mug.
"Don't lie to me," She says quietly, and the words work their way into the diva's heart. When Rachel doesn't reply, Quinn adds "I have to know. It's driving me crazy."
"I..." Rachel runs her tongue along her lower lip, and she notices Quinn glance down at her lips. "You look pretty when you cry," she admits quietly. Quinn almost wondered if she heard wrong.
"Thanks," Quinn smiles shyly. Rachel chuckles nervously.
"Does it freak you out?" The brunette asks, her brown eyes searching the hazel ones staring back.
"No," She says simply, honestly. Rachel believes her.
They talk for a long while after that, about nothing really. Just talking. Sometimes Rachel says things that make Quinn blush, which in turn, makes Rachel smile.
But eventually it starts to get late, and Rachel has to make her Myspace video, remember?
"I'll drive you home," Quinn says, picking up her keys. They walk to her car, still laughing about nothing in particular, and they drive home, talking easily, conversation flowing without doubts and nerves anymore.
But when they arrive at Rachel's house, the nerves return.
"So..." Rachel says, giggling nervously.
"So," Quinn responds with an awkward smile.
The blonde watches as Rachel bites her lower lip, and it makes Quinn's heart pound a little. She tries not to think about why.
"Quinn," She whispers.
"Yeah, Rach?"
"I think I want to kiss you again," She's so shy, and Quinn finds her nerves kind of adorable or something. But Quinn isn't sure what to say. If she lets it happen, she can't take it back.
Rachel sees Quinn panic as thoughts rush through her head.
"I-I'm sorry." Rachel stammers and turns to leave, but Quinn catches her arm and spins Rachel back to face her.
"Kiss me," She whispers, looking into those dark brown eyes. Rachel needs no further instruction. She leans up on her tip toes, resting her hands on Quinn's shoulders so she doesn't over balance, and she lets her lips linger above Quinn's, feeling the blonde's sweet breath against her lips. But Quinn can't wait. She gently presses her lips against Rachel's. Quinn feels dizzy because it's the best feeling she's ever experienced.
Rachel's soft, full lips, moving slowly against her own, tugging gently against her bottom lip. The brunette's shy kisses make her knees go weak.
She feels Rachel start to wobble from staying on her tip toes, and Quinn rests her hands on her waist to steady her so they could kiss a little longer. Just a bit longer, she tells herself. But she admits, she doesn't want this to end.
They break the kiss, but their lips stay so close, brushing against eachother as they breathe in and out.
"Rachel," Quinn whispers against the smaller girl's lips.
"Yeah?" She whispers back.
"You give me butterflies,"
