I am now unemployed
It's official. I am now unemployed.
I have spent the entire day calling folks to whom I feel accountable: committee members, speakers, exhibitors, vendors, partners, volunteers, etc. and I am exhausted. I've also sent out many, many emails to friends and family. My back hurts from sitting all day, my head hurts from wearing a telephone headset all day, and my soul feels crushed by having to leave what was once a great job and a wonderful opportunity to do good in the world.
Tomorrow, I will hopefully be in better shape and can post more coherently about what my next steps will be, but for now, my plans include chocolate, wine, and trash tv.
