It had been a fairly successful day. Isabel had landed a position as a TA or "staffer" in political campaigning and helped Cam with the paint job on the swoop bike. Taking a break from doing nothing, Aeryn heads upstairs, knocking on the doorframe.

"Hey," Isabel waved with the hand holding the Lavendar Moon polish. "What's up?"

She shakes her head. "John's not back from class yet, thought I would wander," she says. "How are you doing?"

"Wandering is good. You'll never know what you'll find," Isabel chuckled. "The gremlins put on a floor show last night. It was entertaining to say the least."

Aeryn frowns, and asks, "What, again?"

"They've done it before?" she asked. "This performance was apparently called Fandom High: A Year in Review. It featured past principals, snow monsters, and something pink with ears."

"...Oh," she says. "That's impressive. They did some caroling on I think Chrissmass Eve last year. That came as a bit of a surprise."

"It was," Isabel laughed. "Alanna had to explain some of the references for me. Which included that infamous Christmas pageant I'd heard so much about." She rummaged through her basket of polish and pulled out a bottle. "This color would suit you."

She raises her eyebrow at the bottle. "I can't put that on, I'm not under duress."

"I bet John would like it," she countered.

"Yes, but he might wear it. Or give it to Greg," she points out.

"That's not a good color for him. He's more of a pink," Isabel said with a perfectly straight face.

"That may be the strangest thing I've ever heard," Aeryn says casually.

Isabel felt oddly proud. "Certain colors of cosmetics work best with certain hair colors and skin tones. With your dark hair and coloring, this red would look awesome on you. John with his brown hair and his coloring would look better in a soft pink nail polish."

She shakes her head. "I can't believe I'm having a conversation about what color nail polish would look best on my boyfriend."

"Sometimes you just need to be silly," she laughed. "It doesn't hurt. Or cause permanent damage."
