"What happened?" Parker asked as soon as Isabel picked up. "Also, Kamchatka is gone. Make of that what you will."

Isabel would see that bet and double it.

"I'm no longer employed because my job is a big gaping spot of blackness on the Las Vegas strip!"

"It's a what?" Parker asked, dumbfounded. "How is that even possible?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"No clue. It's not just there though. I noticed a few other smaller buildings that were missing on the ride home."

Isabel glanced towards the couch where Wyatt had finally fallen into an uneasy sleep. "But I've got bigger problems now."

"What's worse than parts of your city disappearing?" Parker demanded. "And by the way, the Azores."

"Chris and Summer disappearing at some point in the last twenty-four hours." Parker was smart, she'd be able to figure out it. "Wyatt's a wreck."

"Oh my God." It was spreading. To people they both new. Chris. Parker leaned forward, head in her hands. "I'm so sorry. Has anyone else you know gone missing?"

Isabel nodded, remembering the night before. "Just what I told you in all those handwavey texts. Some of the wait staff, a bartender, some of the cleaning crew."

"Ronan says we should get to the island."

"I'm beginning to think Ronan has a point." Parker blew out a slow breath, and said, "The soonest I could go is Tuesday or so. Maybe spend Thanksgiving there?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"Maybe. I have to talk to my family. I can't just leave them behind." They were going to get a crash course in aliens and magic first thing in the morning if Isabel had anything to say about it.

"I'll have to try and talk Jarod into this. He's noticing some of the changes, but not others." Parker frowned. "Not sure why. Do you think Max and Michael will be reasonable about this?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"I doubt it," she sighed. "Even with everything I told them on Friday, it's too much, too fast. They're going to fight it."

[mparkerceo]

"Grabbing them and going is always an option," Parker pointed out. "Although they would probably throw a fit after they wake up on the island."

"That I can deal with." At least they'd be safe.

"I'm going to try and explain first. We'll see how it goes from there."

Parker rubbed her eyes. "Keep me posted on what you find out. I'll text you tomorrow to confirm whatever's happening here, and my travel plans." Her voice got quieter. "Stay safe, Isabel."

"I will. Texts on a regular basis. And the same goes for you okay?" Isabel would feel much happier when everyone was in the same place and not spread out across the multiverse.
