After the utter suck of the previous week, this week had actually started off pretty well. Mostly. But that was something she wasn't going to think about because it still made her frustrated.

"Make Me a Supermodel is on in an hour," Wyatt said helpfully. He'd come back to her room with her after the meeting.

"And the great love that is Ben and Ronnie is in danger," she said with a half hearted grin.

"Ben's doomed," Wyatt said. "He was an ass last week and the week before."

"Yup. America will only vote for the pretty for so long. But eventually they won't be able to avoid the stupid." Isabel stretched out on her bed, wanting nothing more then to tune out the world and just hide for a while. But that was impossible.

"Xander came by the store today. Bridge is missing. So's Willow and Mel."

"Damn it," Wyatt swore softly. "Chris and Summer are okay, I handwavily checked. So are Savannah and Johnny. Lana's missing, though."

"Yeah, I saw she wasn't in class. Meg's okay. So's Ronan. But I haven't heard from Anders, Peter, or Andrew." She held out her hand in invitation, just wanting the contact.

Wyatt moved closer and took her hand. "None of them are in Ethics," he said. "I haven't seen them, either."

"I'm half tempted to go bang on doors," Isabel admitted. "But if I do, and they're not around, I'll know for sure and I'll freak. This way I can at least pretend they're too busy to answer my messages."

"Why would these things send people into the past?" Wyatt said. "What's the point?"

"Aren't black holes supposed to mess with time? Maybe they're not statues," she pondered. "Maybe they're minute black holes in disguise?"

"Maybe? Anything's possible, I guess," Wyatt said. "We just have to figure out how to get people back and make sure nobody else gets taken. I want to try to orb the damn things into the ocean."

Isabel's response was immediate. "Don't. At least not till we know more about what they are. I don't want..." Shaking her head, she swallowed hard. "I just couldn't cope okay?"

"I'm not planning on going anywhere," Wyatt said, sliding his arm around her shoulders. "I'm not getting up close and personal with those things until we know what we're doing. Trust me, I don't need Professor McCrankyPants being his usual cheerful self to tell me that."

"Fun class?" she sighed as memories of Tuesday's conversation poked at her brain.

Wyatt shrugged. "The usual," he said, then went on in a dramatic voice. "Here's how I fucked things up, learn from my mistakes, but you can't because you're just stupid kids. He really needs to lighten up or get laid or something. Might do wonders for him."

Isabel couldn't help laughing, because really, the irony was just too fucking funny and she was just a little bitter about Tuesday. "Well he's getting married in May. That might help."
