You know it's spring in Russia when...
I have been excitedly awaiting the days when spring would arrive here. During the winter when it was so cold and dark I kept thinking about how nice it would be to have spring here. Well, spring has arrived. All the snow is melting and we have rivers in the street. I am happy, but...
Walking to work today, I was reminded about one of the more unpleasant sides of Russian spring. Throughout the winter, people take their dogs out for walks, and then just leave the dog shit in the snow. It gets covered by more snow, so one doesn't really think about it...until now. On my way to work, it was like walking through a mine field. Yuck! Thank goodness for clean up after your dog laws!!!
On another note, I have bought my ticket back to the USA. So, I will be arriving in NYC on the 20th of July, and I will probably be hanging out in NYC for a few days. I hope to see some of you at that time!
