Its a very unsettling thing to have to wait for someone while they go through surgery. It is another level of intense emotion entirely when that person is your child. My daughter had to have an ambilical hernia repair surgery done on monday. A very routine surgery, although one not done on children as young as her. The surgery took all of fifteen minutes, but we were waiting for an hour, because of prep-time. We finally knew she was out of surgery when we she woke up and we could hear her screaming down the hall. Everything turned out to be fine, and went extremely well, but she seemed to be in so much pain when she got out it was horrible. It is now two days later and she seems to be doing much better. I hope and pray i will never have to wait for her while she goes through another surgery again, and if this is the only surgery she has to go through, i will count it as a blessing.
