I love my characters and I just wanted to post about them and make record of their back stories.
Of course I don't remember what their levels were.... nor the specifics of the campaigns... but who the hell cares! I am also gonna make a note of the NPCs I made that I like some time... but not today. Also it should be noted I only play as female characters because duh, I myself am female.
Freyja: Teifling
Rogue
Chaotic Neutral
Freyja is actually born of a Teifling Wizard and a human woman but in the setting Teiflings don't believe in half breeds, if you were born of even one parent it counts. Anyway, her mother took her and her twin sister Feyth and tried to hide the girls from their father. Feyth followed the rules and was prim and proper being considered the pretty twin and all she also showed a talent for magic. Freyja on the other hand did not and was nothing like her sister. She was spirited and curious often wanting to go treasure hunting and often demonstrated a sort of moral greyness that caused her to be an outcast. She grew into a talented rogue with one ability that was liken to magic being a smoke screen type talent that could ease her escapes. She was adept at disappearing from sight and very dexterous.
She would develop a taste for only the most exotic and valuable treasures since the theft of the mundane average treasures became to easy. This lead her to trying to steal from the War Mage Richard (another character) and she was caught by his Elven companion (whose name I cant recall) and coerced into helping them in a dungeon in exchange for her life. She develops a childish yet sensual admiration for Richard and his oblivious crazy and decides to dedicate herself to him and follows. (I wrote a few short stories to go with this character that I misplaced somewhere. in them she and Richard become lovers and together thwart her father who planned to use her as a vessel to harness a magic plague that would kill all non teifling mages. I had no qualms about a romance with a character attached to a real life person in this case because Richard is my true life boyfriend's character)
Mist- Changeling
Rogue
Neutral Neutral
In the world of Changelings there are three schools of thought in terms of culture. 1. Use your powers to your advantage and all but abandon a personal identity for survival 2. Screw the world you are what you are and be proud of it and 3. Hide who you are, look normal no matter what. Mist's parents were of the 3rd school of thought. Being changelings (beings that are natural born shapeshifters who look like blank people otherwise. It isn't that they don't have features.. it is just they are muted and off from the norm.) they grew up in fear of persecution and decided to morph as humans to fit in and hide who they were. Mist grew up with her parents using scare tactics and horror stories to try and keep her from revealing them. It didn't work. Mist was a child and saw a merchant traveling with another changeling who was of the 2nd school of thought. She showed her kindred spirit the truth and her parents freaked. They banished her from their home for fear she would reveal their identities. She soon met up with another changeling who was of the first school of thought and he taught her how to use her powers to great effectiveness. She soon left him however finding his deals to be too shady and she came into contact with the merchant and changeling from her childhood. She stayed with them until she met a druid shapeshifter (not naturally gifted had to work at it) and a necromancer and was offered to go on a quest with them where they needed to infiltrate a place. She agreed now being of a new school of thought... combine 1 and 2 and screw option 3.
Lani- Necromancer Melting pot (seriously she is 2/8ths goblin, 1/8th halfling of some kind, 4/8th human, and 1/8th... something else.)

Arcane Mage
Oh Lani Lani Lani. She was born to a group of nomadic necromancers in the western abyss lands away from the former empire of light which condemned her people (who promoted freedom of will and life style) in favor of the Bardic practices (mind control, extreme order) They were also refugees from a great Necromatic city that lay beneath a frozen plain and was now the home of a nasty frost worm. Lani grew up with one goal in mind. Reawaken her people. That's it. However to do so she harnessed her arcane powers and necromancy and traveled away from her family to find something to help her gain enough power to reach her goals. This took her to a sort of vassal county of Charalampos (I know same name as the kingdom in my dragonite story and there is no connection I just like the name) the country that still holds the empire of light's way. There the lord of the county had come into possession of a sentient necromancy dagger of old. It was trying to take over the minds of those around it to do its bidding and free it. However Lani, being a necromancer, was able to convince it not to try to control her that she wanted to help it. However this meant causing hoards of undead from the prison beneath the manor to arise (mind you this was highly illegal on soo many levels that there were ANY dead bodies as the empire of light tradition was to burn corpses to prevent undead) and she and the dagger started working their way to a dead mage. They didn't get there tough as a group of adventurers, a half orc, a bard, a dark elf, and a drunken ninja, find her and decide to put a stop to it. She doesn't mind because she felt the dagger would never help her so she abandons it and bargains with the adventurers to let her leave. They do (after she nearly kills the dark elf with one blow) and they meet up again later in a mine where there was an abandoned dragon's nest/library. She convinces them to help her awaken her city in exchange for knowledge and allies. And so the adventure began... for her as a pc not an npc as she started out.
