YouTube Homepage
YouTube keeps finding ways to piss me off.
First it was the freaking advertisements that, granted you have to sit through on every free video sharing site which is okay I guess because it makes it free... but it is still irritating. Then there are the obnoxious copyright nazis, those annoying little word boxes, poor loading..ect.
But now they have redone their homepage. IT SUCKS!! Before you could choose what you want to see on your homepage. Recommended videos, subscription posts, what your friends are watching, ect. But now you have no damned choice. I am serious. I have spent the last 30 minutes of my life looking for a way to eliminate the video things I don't give a shit about like "The most popular videos" (which takes up most of the screen) and videos my "friends" favorited which I have no desire to watch or care that they added them. Once I had a place where I could see my freaking inbox for comments and messages and now it is gone, I have to go to that page rather than just seeing it when I log in, to see what video up dates those I have subscribed to uploaded I have to go under a different tab where guess what fucking shows up below it? FUCKING MOST POPULAR VIDEOS!!!!!! IN TWO DIFFERENT TABS I HAVE TO SEE THIS SHIT I DON'T WANT TO WATCH OR CARE ABOUT!!!!!
OH and no longer can you rearrange the order in which you see these things. No, they are stuck in position and you can ask for more videos you didn't want to look at in the first place but you can sort of make them go away by clicking a little X.... but they come back should you return. OH and get this... it tells you what videos you have recently favorited. yes that is right. In case you don't remember what videos you saw liked and saved, it lists them for you.
WTF I went to the support to read about these bugs and crap to see if they were addressing these issues that seem out of place like the inbox thing. No not really. They kind of are but mostly they just tell you to run with it. They don't even give you a way to choose to go back to the way it was and the new set up is UGLY!!!! I mean MySpace UGLY! It looks far more disorganized than it was before and there is pretty much NO WAY to customize it now.
