Kajimoto sighs. Wakato has a way of really working his nerves. It's always one thing or another and usually he's sure he doesn't like the one thing... or the another. This was one of those times.
He stares at the filthy little beast that's sitting on his living room floor. Wakato is just as dirty and Kajimoto really doesn't want to know what he's been doing as long as he gets himself clean. Wakato's also going to have to clean th floor.
“What is that?”
Wakato grins. “It's a puppy.”
“Yes, I know it's a puppy but why is it here and why is it so dirty?” He continues to stare down at the small thing.
It's not that Kajimoto hates dogs, he just doesn't want to own one. It's too much responsibility and he has too much to do. He doesn't trust Wakato to not push dog responsibilities on him.
“I bought her.” Wakato answers. “You should have seen her. She looked so saw in the store window.” he ruffled her fur. “On the way home I accidentally let her get away from me and well it's raining outside.” There was a moment of silence. “So... can I keep her?”
Kajimoto rubs his temples. Well that explains a lot. He wants to say no. He really should say no, but he will probably regret it if he does. Wakato will make him regret it in the form of being a pest and he really doesn't need the distraction when he has school and work.
“Fine,” he says. “You can keep her one condition. You have to take care of her. Fully. And not just for a wee either.”
Wakato seems to think it over in his head before he nods. “Deal!” He picks the puppy up. “Don't worry. Jinx will be the most well-taken care of puppy you ever saw.” He gives Kajimoto a kiss on the cheek and heads to the bathroom with her.
Kajimoto shakes his head. Jinx. It looks like the puppy won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Whether it's a good thing or not he'll have wait and see. He hears the water in the bathtub turn on and he looks down at the muddy spot on the floor.
“I hope you're planning on cleaning the living room floor,” he calls to his boyfriend.
There's no answer at first. Only the sounds of splashing. “Yeah I know.” Wakato calls back.
