Had to put in an extra. I don't want any of them to not be in that list.
Shirow isn't really a writer in the sense of western perspective but who cares. I certainly don't.
On another note, also about Shirow's works, I hope DreamWorks won't kill the 3D adaptation of GiTS by making a not-Major Major, or a not-Batou Batou, or not-Togusa Togusa or even mess up the Tachikomas, or Fuchikomas if they're doing it in the manga version. I will not tolerate a Major or a Batou that was changed to 'appeal' mass media. You do that and you break too many things that make the 3 different Majors to be Motoko Kusanagi. And I seriously wish Kawai-san would make the Sounds for the film, but since it's DreamWorks production... I guess it would be a no no.
Oh... another Live-action movie that I'm actually waiting for it to come out: Assault Girls. Basically it happen in Mamoru Oshii's previous Live-Action Film Avalon, which wasn't all that bad, if you forget the rather bad blending of the characters. But yeah, this one doesn't look that bad. I wonder if it'll touch the issues in Avalon as well.
