Good points:
-I'm pretty sure I aced the Constitution Exam in Wyoming History, but got a B at bare minimum, which is a huge, huge lift for my grade in that class.
-I'm feeling better; it's pretty much down to a cough now and that's about it.
Bad points:
-I flunked the Russian quiz.
-I'm failing Russian.
-I slept through my alarm and missed the pledge thing tonight.
-I don't feel any closeness at all to the guys in the fraternity like I thought I would.
-It's been almost two weeks since I last went to fencing practice, so I'm falling farther and farther behind. But I don't care too much, because I'm sick of doing foil. I just want to stick with sabre, actually, but only one other guy on the team does sabre and even then only occasionally.
-Homecoming is this weekend and I find myself not caring in the least.
-I feel really lonely and isolated out here.
-I didn't call Gateway this week to find out how many credits I have, so I can process my Arizona State application.
I'm almost tempted to just say fuck it and leave school until next fall once this semester's over. I have a feeling I'm not going to be initiated into the fraternity, as I find myself caring less and less about it with the greater feeling of distance from the brothers in it. It's like they don't care that I'm there or not, and I'm starting to feel the same way.
Preliminary grade report:
Russian: D/F
Lit Survey: B
Wyoming History: B
Medieval Lit: Unknown because the prof wasn't there today when she was supposed to hand back our first papers.
Still a lot of semester left to go, though.
I'm glad I dropped the Magazine Writing class. I'd have gone insane otherwise.
