Dapper Day Dress

Apr 26, 2014 17:03

Rather last minute me and my friends decided to go to Dapper Day at Disneyland. I had been wanting to make this dress for forever so I sewed like mad the day before to get it wearable (basted hem, zipper wrong color etc.) We want to go again in September, so I will probably make all of the alterations/fixes to it before then. The fabric is a lingerie print from designer Alexander Henry: https://www.etsy.com/listing/178001248/alexander-henry-fashionista-frills?utm_source=google&utm_medium=product_listing_promoted&utm_campaign=supplies_low&gclid=CLSs_Yus_70CFcWTfgod0WcAYQ and the pattern was Butterick Retro 5708. The Hat is vintage, and was a Christmas gift from my mother. The shoes I'm wearing were a lucky ebay find, since the brand irregular choice is usually really expensive and they were practically new.
