So this Halloween I am making corsets for two of my friends, this is the first of the two.
23” Silk dupioni overbust corset with lattice ribbon and patent leather embellishment. Corset has a Mixture of spiral and flat steels for support, and the strength layer is coutil. Antique bronze hardware was used to further bring out the rich warmth of the aubergine and olive green colors. All of the materials were chosen by my friend to coordinate with her Halloween costume (A witch) she is planning to make a witch hat out of the remainder of the patent leather hide.
The second corset (I am getting the fabric tomorrow) is going to be an underbust with piping as part of a mermaid costume. My friend is going to be making a skirt out of the same fabric that has pleats in it to create a "tail". After that I will be getting back to working on my own costume!
