Fringe Fascinator

Not wanting to deal with my hair at the D2D event, I decided to make my self a fascinator to "cover" my hair. I started with a shaped buckram heart base (Like I learned to make at TopsyTurvy designs) mulled it and covered it with satin. Since It was the day before, and I in a bit of a rush, I used a glue gun for most things except sewing the satin lining down.

The shiny lace bits I cut off of a trim my mom gave me, and hand stitched down with a curved needle. The piece attached with two weave clips, seriously the best inventions ever right after washing machines. The feathers were a mixture of the cheap shinny ones you can find at most craft stores, and a small ostrich feather Kim (Of TopsyTurvy ) gave me.

I really want to make myself more of these, it's such a good quick project. I'v seen some really cute leather ones, and I have lots of pretty leather scraps I need to use up...

fascinator, feathers, millinery, discarded to divine
