The other day I got around to finishing and trying on the mock-up for my next corset. The pattern is an original combo I got from combining my Regency corset (bottom) and Civil War corset (Top). Silhouette wise this made the most sense historically. Right off the bat The result is better than I had hoped for !!!

I think I just need to do some test samples for the quilting, i'll probably post pictures of them when I have.
Do any of the stays you are making have quilting, or is it mostly all cording?

In my file of stays/corset pics I have another set of stays, earlier than 1840s, that has 3x3rows of horizontal cording on the front hip gussets and the outline of the hip gussets is also outlined with 3 rows of cording. Foolishly I didn't keep a note of where I found this pic online. I've learned better since then
