Despite the looming terror of midterms, I manged to have quite a fun and eventful Halloween!
On Friday Night after class I went with a friend to an event at the DNA Lounge (
http://www.dnalounge.com/) It was a night filled with dancing, chatting, costume contests. The grand prize for the night was $600 cash! Ironically the contest was won by a lovey gent "dressed" as The Emperor's new Clothes.
Official pictures from the event can be seen here:
http://www.dnalounge.com/gallery/2010/10-29/ I wore my poison Ivy costume (Which is quickly becoming my most worn costume!) and ended up having to do my hair in a bathroom at the mall. I forgot they kick everyone out of my school building on Friday's 15 minutes after class ends. Despite a few weird looks, and one lady asking me if I was a tree, It worked pretty well. I even manged to get little Horns this time, even if the rain did melt them a little.
Saturday I was good and did homework ALL DAY, because on Sunday I wanted go to a party at a fiends house. The "get your homework done" mission successful I pulled out an old stand bye costume and did what needed to be done in 1/3 hour to get it wearable.
I give you Barbie:
I was given this dress for free during a Theater gig back in high school. It makes my inner magpie so happy, the tag actually reads 10% metal! It is a little to small for me, so I added some grommets and laced it quick+dirty up the back. I also added some more boning in the front (And it needs more in the sides) In the future I would like to get a poofy net petticoat for it.
Some other random Pictures from the night:
The last shot is probably my favorite. I stole my friends (Who was Scott Pilgrim) "Sword of Love". I mean really, it matched my outfit.
