I can haz petticoat?

Before the Hamburglar struck I finally got to working on my regency petticoat. I used the skirt pattern of my gown, but folded it on it's self to make it less full (and fit on my 45" cotton voile) The hem to about mid skirt is flat lined with cotton organdy for stiffness and a little more opacity. Thanks! It just made sense to me for this particular dress/undergarments combo I have going. Less bulk on top/less sheer on bottom. I just hope the tucks don't stick out a lot through the skirt when it's all done.

It is super stiff and stays that way even with washing.

ooh, that's handy to know it stays stiff after washing. I've been thinking of getting some organdy from them for a chemisette.

I'v washed a one yard piece (Hand wash- I don't have a washer) about three times trying to soften it, didn't work.
