Hello, everybody! I knew when I started a journal that I would be horrible at updating it. I was right, I am horrible at updating it! I was thinking of spamming everybody with my thoughts and feelings about all the manga that I waste my time reading and ~a certain series~ I recently read, but I honestly don't think anybody would be interested. 1. Why do you dislike #11 so much? (Roy/Ed)
BECAUSE IT MAKES NO SENSE, THAT'S WHY. It's also mildly disturbing. I'm one of those people who doesn't really care about age differences (hahaha, OBSERVE, PAIRINGS 3, 5 and 9), but that's because in these pairings the dynamic is actually, for the most part, that of equals. OR, YOU KNOW, they relate to each other as friends and partners and not as, in Roy and Ed's case, AUTHORITY FIGURE/REBELLIOUS TEENAGER. Just...noooo. Also, Roy and Ed and ridiculously in love with their respective girlfriends, Riza and Winry.
2. Who do you know that ships #13? (Roxanne/Megamind)
Hahaha, well, MEM for one, whose fic I read last night (I enjoyed it immensely)! Everyone else in my f-list who has watched the movie, probably.
3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3? (Emma/Mr. Knightley)
*___* WELL, First, what happened in the book. They get married, surprise and delight everybody except Mrs. Elton, who simply hates Emma's dress and excellent taste in husbands, and continue to be exclusive best friends forever! BEYOND THAT, I think they should read things to each other in their living room, with commentary, write letters in her father's study, go on walks on the pretty English countryside and manage their two awesome estates. Eventually, THEY MIGHT HAVE KIDS and they will be adorable, forever. Or until her father dies, when Emma will need tons of emotional support. Then they will move to his estate and their nephews (on both sides!) will enjoy Hartfield instead, so all will be good. They will be friends and partners until the end of time!!
4. What is your favorite moment for #1? (Roy/Riza)
HAHA, DO NOT ASK ME THAT, DO NOT ASK ME THAT. I don't know, we would be here all day!! All the moments, honest. The little glances, walking together everywhere, flirting in code. the big things, that make it painfully obvious, that hug and HER FACE, OMG.
5. How long have you been following couple #6?
Hmm, about a year now, I suppose, since I started reading Gunnerkrigg! They were adorable from the very first moment, and I am surprised and delighted that Tom, unlike other comic writers, had decided to give us kisses and hugs!!!
6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop caring? (Tonks/Lupin)
Ahhh, well, the interesting story is more on the side of what made me start caring, since I did not ship them when I first read the books. I started shipping them because I read this really good series of novel-length fic featuring them and cool very Harry Potter adventures and I fell in love with it because it pushed a lot of my shippy buttons. I suppose I like the idea of it, and not actually what happens in the series at all! What made me stop caring? Uh, time? I still ship them but my interest has waned.
7. Which ship do you prefer--#2 or #4? (Aang/Katara and Deryn Alek)
I am in FIRST LOVE with Deryn/Alek, and right this moment I am more likely to squee about it, but DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY, I prefer Kataang. It was the first ship I seriously, actively shipped, and they are SO GOOD, SO GOOD and I love them forever, really, I do.
8. You have the power to make one ship non-existent. Choose from #10 or #12. (Zutara and Al/Random OC girls)
Oh, gosh. I HATE THEM BOTH, but I suppose it would have to be Zutara. Caused me so much pain and annoyance. I hate how it was shipped based on stupid, mis-applied clichés and tropes, and how it often demonizes, infantilizes or ignores Aang and how it mischaracterizes both Katara and Zuko. Can I just have them both disappear? Al/Random OC girls is kind of disgusting, to be honest. None of these girls are ever given any depth, and are only used to portray Al as some sort of womanizer, which goes COMPLETELY AGAINST HIS ESTABLISHED CHRACTERIZATION and also writers dereby further erase Mei from their stories and thoughts.
9. What interests you about #14? (Luther/Ariana)
Luther and Ariana are from a webcomic set in 18th Century Germany, in a university! Luther is a possibly-atheistic academic who does lectures of theology, while Ariana is the daughter of the university's owner. She manages the library because nobody has ever told her to stop, and does a marvellous job of it. She also helps Luther with his lectures while she's at it, and they have dorky, excellent conversations. Luther clearly respects and thinks of her as a very intelligent woman, too! They are going to use an Ovid book to schedule evening meetings. Spoiler: there are awesome candlelit kisses, and it's awesome. (Never mind interest, I outright ship this. WHATEVER, there were not enough spot up in the ships that I ship list)

10. When did you stop liking #7? (Toph/Sokka)
Haaa, well, it's not so much that stopped liking it but that I realized I don't strongly ship Sokka with anybody. I think his connections with all the ladies in his life have been very significant to him, adI'm happy with his relationship with Suki, so!
11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the series? (Éomer/Lothiriel)
HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH. NOOOOOO. Never. I don't think anything will kill my interest in the Lord of the Rings, and nevermind that this ship is ABSOLUTELY MARGINAL. It only appears in the appendixes and its only stories are (horrible, fauxministic) fanfics. That's why I abandoned it, by the way. It offers many fantastic possibilities, but everyone writes them like crap. One day I'll try my hand at it.
12. What's a song that reminds you of #5? (Yankumi/Shin)
NO SONG. I don't normally connect ships to song, unless somebody helps me along and makes delicious fanmixes or it hits me over the head with references. (None of these have happened yet)
13. Which of these ships do you love the most right now?
Roy/Riza!!! MY OTP OF OTPs. Sorry, all other ships, you tried. Specially sorry, Kataang, but Roy and Riza trump all.

That is a really difficult question, actually. I don't know! Deryn and Alek and Katara and Aang could have things to discuss on the subject of saving the world and going to war when you're basically a kid and loss and so on, and Roy and Riza could have fun discussions about ruling countries with Éomer and Lothiriel, but honestly I don't know. Nothing strikes me as particularly amusing either.

OH, MAN, I DON'T KNOW. There's many things going against them: war, crossdressing hijinks, class and nationality that one could be excused for fearing unsatisfactory endings. I have hope for at least kisses and hugs?! Me dearest wish would be for them to save the Brtish Navy and Europe and have adventures together and somehow get married in a few years and be benevolent rulers. (Let me be shippy like a girl, okay?)

TOO LATE, I ALREADY SHIP IT. What would make me ship it more: MORE KISSING, MORE CONVERSATIONS.

Well, dear meme, both of these are ridiculously canon, where they both have had KISSES and both their creators have implied or outright stated that they totally get married! (If I had to chose just the one, it would have to be Kataang, though)

Nobody ever gets the idea and there are no fanworks except for a few isolated well-written crack pieces.
