It's 10:34 a.m. and I'm already into my second Guinness. Yeah, it's going to be one of those champion of freedom days.

So I work in Nara now, and that is a nice, nice town. I usually have to take the bus from the train station to the Sharp outpost which takes like thirty minutes by bus. But after work on Friday I decided to walk it since it's just a straight route down a single road for the most part. I got myself a big-ass Asahi and put on the sound test from Mother 3 and just started hiking. I had to stop at like every other convenient store to either get more beer or empty myself of it. The sun went down behind the mountains and an hour and fifteen minutes later, I was back in Nara proper. Love that town. Fridays are the best.

I was actually thinking about writing in this thing while I was walking, as I just couldn't wait to share the experience with everyone. So hey -- here. Nothing happened, really -- just listened to the awesome soundtrack of Mother 3, got drunk, and enjoyed the balmy fall sunset. Happy to be alive, on earth, and the fact that it was payday didn't even have a goddam thing to do with it.

Go outside, seriously. With nuclear war and the release of the next-generation video game systems hanging precariously like a turd over your head, you'll be glad you did.
