10 Books to Read in 2016 -- Lilith by George MacDonald

I've read MacDonald's work throughout my life, from his fairy tales and Phantastes through his realistic novels and even his sermons and essays. I hadn't read Lilith yet (I think I picked it up in a library once and was put off by the creepy atmosphere). I read "At the Back of the North Wind" as a child, and can vaguely remember enjoying it but can recall nothing of the characters or plot. That's the only book of his that I've read. I really ought to read more of him sometime.
