Advent Spirals
Waiting in Advent is not passive - it is an active practice of observation. It is not trying to “fix” things around us, not trying to manipulate events. It is merely to be present and aware, watchful, wakeful. Noticing. Father Jim said the “holiday” season is all about “doing, doing, doing”…but the Advent season is stopping. Holding your breath. Shutting up. Listening. So you won’t miss what’s coming.
