30 Days of Fan Fiction Meme, Day Three
3 - For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
So: Numb3rs, Stargate SG-1, Supernatural, The Sentinel, The Invisible Man.
Numb3rs--I have two favorites, Don Eppes and Megan Reeves. Both of them are like me in ways that very few fictional characters really seem to be, and that means both of them have reached into my innermost soul to give me a medium for stories that no one else would have allowed me to tell in fan fiction. Don is deeply moral and responsible (and thus always conflicted), and a man of faith; Megan is strong and comfortable in a male-dominated environment, yet comfortable in her femininity.
I did always enjoyed writing Larry Fleinhardt, as well; and Larry/Megan is my only true OTP, the old-fashioned yet utterly unconventional love story of this fandom.
Stargate SG-1--I'm not sure I have a favorite. I tended to bounce around a lot, and wrote almost everybody at some point. Probably my true favorite was Mini-Jack O'Neill, because I have a whole unwritten story about him in my head that still draws me. I suppose if I had to pick, I'd say my favorite was the "classic SG-1": Jack, Sam, Teal'c, Daniel. It's their interactions that drew me to the show, and I love writing their banter back and forth.
Supernatural--I am Dean, in the sense of all his eldest-child issues, so it has to be him. Though my unfinished novel is from Sam's pov, it's all about Dean, really. *snerk*
The Sentinel--Jim Ellison, I suppose, mostly because writing from the pov of enhanced senses is half the fun of writing TS fic at all. :) But Blair's dialogue is much more fun, so... I'll say Jim if you push me, but the partnership most of all.
The Invisible Man--Bobby Hobbes is definitely the most fun, but Darien is awesome, and so is Claire (the Keeper). Again, I like the partnership/team most.

12 - Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
13 - Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
14 - Ratings - how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
15 - Warnings - What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
16 - Summaries - Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?
17 - Titles - Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?

19 - When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
