I can choose not to be everyone's big sister all the time; to let people handle their own problems.
I can choose to be vulnerable with others. (And I can choose to be wise about that, not naive. Both can be true at once.)
I can choose to accept myself, even the bits that others don't quite get, and I can live and love from that grounded, colorful, blazing glory.
I can choose to trust that I'm a gift, rather than a burden or a potential burden.
I can choose to speak instead of shutting up.
I can choose to hold on instead of letting go.
I can; I do. I choose.
