Ways I have been blessed lately

Sep 30, 2008 22:43

No reason for this post, really, I'm just feeling grateful and wanting to make a happy post.

I'm not going to use any names, although some of these are about specific people. If you think one is you, it probably is. :-)

My class of Stephen Ministers is wonderful; I feel energized and uplifted every time I come home from teaching.

I finally got a check from unemployment after weeks of struggle.

A friend gave me money, twice, over the past month to help me pay bills. God bless you!

So did my parents, even though I still owe them for my car.

I have smart friends, and it's really fun to listen to them talk.

Connie Willis is my new favorite author. I'm so glad I've had the time to read Doomsday Book, Bellwether, and Passage recently.

My bank was bought out instead of failing, yay!

I got a call from a friend early this evening, who wanted to see how I was doing. Bless her.

I watched the sun set into the Pacific ocean this weekend, and dolphins came and splashed in the waves right nearby. I haven't seen anything that beautiful in a long time. A wonderful evening.

MY SHOWS ARE BACK! :-)

I didn't have to cancel my pre-order for Numb3rs season 4, because the unemployment monies came.

I think I may be in love. (Timing's off, but that doesn't make it untrue. And I am good at waiting.)

God is good, even when I'm depressed and anxious and uncertain of everything. And he apparently trusts me when I don't, which, I'm not sure how that's working for him *g* but it's encouraging.

"The LORD will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing." Isaiah 51:3
