Mini update

Feb 19, 2007 11:18

Bleh. I haven't been sick in a long time. So even a cold that's not the flu is making me feel like death warmed over. Yuck. Thank goodness for the long weekend...but right now I'm thinking I might even have to take a sick day or two, unless I start feeling better like RIGHT NOW.

Hasn't stopped me from getting some writing in, praise God )

I hear you with the first draft thing. People generally only see my first drafts if I'm in a workshop or something when they see it a piece at a time. I don't recall ever voluntarily letting anyone see a whole first draft of a script. It would be like going to a party wearing only mismatched underwear.

Feel better!

That's *exactly* what it would be like. :-)

So I'm hoping that either my rate of writing improves today (unlikely, given the headache and the fact that I just slept for 9 hours, along with a sudden craving for hot tea and Stargate episodes), or that I'll have the guts to ask my writing group for an extension. Which I don't want to do, because I suck at meeting deadlines and I need to get focused, but...I really don't want to go to that party in mismatched underwear.

Hey, I slept 14 hours on Saturday and got NOTHING done (aside from getting my neighbor to watch Doctor Who). So you're doing better than me!

I myself need to stop replying to LJ posts/comments and get to my short film script before my lunch is over :p

All I wanna do is drink tea and watch Stargate. I keep second-guessing what I'm writing, even though I know their voices and stuff. Waaaah.

*tries to do deep breathing, starts coughing*

Lord, you said you wanted me working in TV. You gonna help me finish this step or what?!

{{{Sarah}}} Feel better soon. Should I send fic? (Stuff I've been working on, not new stuff)

Fic, huh? Have I seen this stuff yet? If not, go for it.

Oh darn. Mention of fic has awakened that Numb3rs/CSI plot tribble we hatched Saturday. Oh dear. No, go away, I can't feed you right now. NO. I said NO. *stops ears and hums to block out fic muse*

Well, anything I would send, you've already seen in one form or another . . .

And regarding the CSI/N3 x-over: I've decided that the way we approached it would make it a CSI with N3 as the guest star. I have zero confidence in writing original CSI stuff, so there ya go. Also, it would require some truly awesome OCs, as Don would most likely make his second call to the Vegas FBI field office. 'Cause of course the local Feds would be in on the case. The whole prospect just became too overwhelming.

If you want to do it, however . . . though if you're gonna work on a x-over, I'd like to read the N3/TS one. :-)

Doesn't all that mean it would be a perfect fic to collaborate on? (I think I'm kind of falling for this fic, seriously.) But yeah, if I have time, I should probably work on the N3/TS one instead.... *sigh*
