My octopus is ruthless.

So instead of prawn(shrimpie things) we've switched to shore crabs(Prawn are harder to get, gotta dive for em.. while the crabs are.. found on the shore... yah...)

I was taught how to declaw the little buggers, pinch down with the pilers on their claw.. yes, pinch down.. hard... Hard to crack it. Yes, I get to break their little pinchers... and.. they like.. disengage their entire arm. It's pretty neat, like how you catch a lizard by it's tail and it's left behind but still wriggles? The claw does the same, pinch down and break it, it disengages at the main body.. and still moves. XD;;;

Well.. they have a thicker shell, that's fine and all.. but when my octopus got a grab on one, she couldn't pull it under or.. well.. crush it as easily.

So what she did instead was.. fiddle around with it, turning it.. turning it sideways, and jerked at it, but only part of the legs went under.. and then she turned it around so that it's right side was facing her.. and it's whole left set of legs were missing...

By then, she was fiddling with the remaining 'main' body of the poor little crab, I think it was still alive too.. cause it's legs were moving before they were pulled off. The poor thing.. how torturous it must be... anyways.. well, the body was what couldn't fit under the door's gap.

So.. she was busy trying to get it work.. flipping it around, upside down, side to side.. until.. she ripped off the bottom half from the top half. Yeah... I got to see the insides of a living- was living crab.. the poor thing was ripped apart to death. Anyways, she took the bottom half and well.. then took the top half which had the meat and such...

Oh, did I mention I put two in? Yah, the first one wandered too close to her, while the second one.. was sorta close, but meh octopus was distracted by the one she already caught.. anyways, that one ran to the other end of the tank. XD Probaly scared.. seeing its friend being ripped apart.

I should probaly study for finals now.. XD;
