veronica/wallace.
[1.16: Betty and Veronica].

RICHIE: Betty, you made it.
VERONICA: Richie, you are a really great guy and if the popular kids at this school were half as nice as you are, I’d wanna be popular. I know that sounds weird but it’s a huge compliment. So good luck tonight. You’re gonna need it. Wallace Fennel has a killer crossover. But it’s really his sweetness and purity of spirit that makes him unbeatable [she walks away and over to the Neptune team] ... You better warm up, Fennel.
WALLACE: You got Polly back?
VERONICA: I kinda rock.
//
COACH: Okay, Wallace, you're in.
WALLACE: Yes, sir.
VERONICA: Go kick some ass, Air Fennel [they bump fists and she slaps his ass as he leaves. She's about to walk away when she stops, thinking].
VERONICA VO: Ah, the big game. Another high school high that makes me want to eat rocks. Being surrounded by screaming, foam-fingered spirit freaks who hate me hardly sounds thrilling but for Wallace, this is his shining moment. So what’s it gonna be, girly girl? [she turns and heads into the gym].

There were a million different scenes that I wanted to do for these two, but I decided on this one because of their adorable smiles, and the first bumping and ass slapping [!!] and Veronica doing something for him! And how proud she is when she talks to Richie about him. Betty and Veronica is my favorite VM episode ever, so I just figured this made the most sense. Cutest BFFs ever. Hands down.

ryan/taylor.
[4.12: The Groundhog Dog].

TAYLOR: Hello? [heavy breathing] Hello?
RYAN: Hhhhh, ohh yeah.
TAYLOR: Who is this?
RYAN: What are you wearing?
TAYLOR: Ryan?
RYAN: [entering] Hey.
TAYLOR: Were you just trying to stalk me?
RYAN: Yeah, I guess I need a little more practice.
TAYLOR: That is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me [they kiss].
RYAN: So does that mean the whole, uh, space thing ...
TAYLOR: Yeah, terrible idea. You don't mind dating someone who's a total weirdo?
RYAN: No, no. In fact, I was thinking we could work around it. Like, I have to go to Kirsten's party, but if you wanted - you could follow me.
TAYLOR: Yes, and when we get there, I could hide because a plant and just kinda watch you.
RYAN: Exactly, exactly. And then on the way home, I could stalk you.
TAYLOR: Yes!

Again, there were just sooo many scenes to choose from, but I really wanted to do a smaller, less obvious scene, that is kinda underrated, and it was down to this one, or the one at the end of The Earth Girls Are Easy, and I even made the art for that, but then decided on this one because their whole thing was how crazy Taylor is, so Ryan stalking her is pretty damn sweet. I loved his stalker voice and how touched she was, and how he was teasing her and guh. All of their scenes make me smile, pretty much. Oh, and I was thinking of doing the seven minutes in heaven scene too, but the lighting is a bitch.

brooke/sam.
[6.16: Screenwriter's Blues].

SAM: I was thinking we could celebrate me winning the school essay contest?
BROOKE: Really? Sam, that's amazing ... Homeless In High School.
SAM: It's about me and Jack. How hard life can be on your own. All that fun stuff.
BROOKE: I am so proud of you.
SAM: Thank you.
BROOKE: Can I put it on the fridge? ... So, what do you wanna do?
SAM: I wanna eat pizza.
BROOKE: Seriously? Okay.

I think I love this scene so much because I totally wasn't expecting it at all. Like, I expect good or cute scenes in an episode that has a Sam/Brooke storyline, but this one, they had seperate storylines, so this meaningful and adorable scene was totally a surprise, and it's one of my favorite Brooke/Sam scenes. I just absolutely adore how proud Brooke was of Sam. Like, even before she says as much, Sophia does an amazing job of showing how proud Brooke is when Sam first shows her the essay. Her face and her voice, are just perfection. Her putting it on the fridge was just such a mom thing to do, and Sam's reactions to her pride and such is just heartwarming. You totally know she's never had a mom put something of her's on the fridge before. Absolutely perfection, from beginning to end. Go, Joy!

haley/skills.
[4.13: Pictures of You].

HALEY: Alright, but I want you to know that no matter what this letter says, you're gonna find your way to some great things. I know it.
SKILLS: Well if it all means the same, I'd rather find my great things through college.
HALEY: [she opens the letter] ... Well, it looks like you're gonna be going into that factory ... and you're gonna tell your father that you just got a full ride to college.
SKILLS: ... Girl, that's messed up! I almost threw my ass off this damn roof!
HALEY: I'm sorry!

I was so excited for this episode when it aired because I had been wanting a Haley/Skills scene for forever, because I figured they had to have been friends when they were little, and I loved them both. And then it happened, and this episode was seriously more than I could have ever imanged, but this scene was the cutest. I love that she was there when all of his dreams came true, and I love how much she believed in him, regardless, and how touched she obviously was for him when she saw he got it. I always smile when he looks so relieved and says he was gonna jump off the roof and she just throws her arms around him. SO adorable.

spencer/ashley.
[3.09: Career Day].

SPENCER: Ash?
ASHLEY: Morning, sleepyhead.
SPENCER: Since when are you up before noon?
ASHLEY: I had trouble sleeping. I had to keep pinching myself to make sure that you were really here. And it's noon. I probably should have woken you but I couldn't resist watching you sleep [they kiss]. You're not gonna change your mind again this time, right?
SPENCER: No. When I saw you at Pride with my mom, I knew everything was different. You have no idea what that meant to me.
ASHLEY: I guess some things change.
SPENCER: [playing with Ashley's hair] Some things stay remarkably the same [they kiss again].
ASHLEY: I loved waking up next to you. I wish it could be like this forever.

I could have done a seaon one scene, the caps are certainly better, and I definitely smile all through season one, but I just really wanted to do this scene because the caps are so pretty, even if they're a bitch to work with. I love this scene to bits and pieces. All their morning after scenes are the best. They should have had more. But seriously, those two kisses are probs my favorite, I don't know why, they just seem so natural. And hello, they're in bed! Definitely a step up for the S2 morning after scene, just in terms of realism. It's not pictured here, but I love after, how Spencer just takes some cloths out of Ashley drawer without even asking, such a girlfriend thing to do. And their kiss on the cheek goodbye, of course. I wanted them to keep that up all season, but they didn't, oh well. It was a great way to start of 3B!

silver/dixon.
[1.05: Wide Awake and Dreaming].

SILVER: You know, you actually did a pretty good job tonight, Dixon.
DIXON: Thank you, thank you. Back at you.
SILVER: Whatever.
DIXON: Is there anything in this whole world that you actually do care about?
SILVER: I care that your sister got through her preformance without knocking over any set pieces or without sounding like an amnesiac and I didn't get blamed for ruining the show.
DIXON: You know what I think?
SILVER: Do I have a choice?
DIXON: No ... I think that you wanna do a good job. But, if you did, that would mean that you actually care, and if you care then that would mean that you ... [she leans over and kisses him] ... What was that for?
SILVER: You ask way too many questions, you know that, right?

God this made me depressed making it. I miss when they were this good and drama free. I mean, I know every couple needs drama and angst, but God, give them good stuff. I didn't want third party, but I didn't want contrived BS either. ANYWAY, this scene. Every scene back in the beginning had me smiling, but I had to do their first kiss, because duh. I LOVE how he just can't stop smiling after and they both just smile at each other, and they have the cutest smiles ever. That is all, really.

rusty/casey.
[2.10: Hell Week].

CASEY: Hey, Spitter!
RUSTY: Hey! Aren't you supposed to be at ZBZ's initiation?
CASEY: On my way. But I wanted to say congrats first
RUSTY: Thanks.
CASEY: What happened to your ... Wow, Hell Week gets crazier every year, huh?
RUSTY: Yeah. It was worth it. I'm a brother now.
CASEY: And I can attest from personal experience, you are a great one [she hugs him].
RUSTY: Aw, jeez.
CASEY: What? Everyone gets a little mushy during I Week. I will have total deniability by Monday. Go, celebrate.
RUSTY: Thanks, Case.

There are so many things in this scene that make me smile, I don't think I could pick just one. I just smile the whole entire way through it. As soon as she called him Spitter, I was a goner. He finally got his hug! That made me so happy, and it's so cute that he pretended that he didn't want it. I'm so glad they had this little scene after he became a brother, since she was so against it in the beginning. So cute that she came all the way there just to say congrats so quickly. And come on, saying that she knows from experience that he's a great brother? Pretty much the cutest thing ever. Love them to death.

finish.
