Um... why does OSH hardware charge hundreds of dollars less for lighting equipment than B&H?
Ahhhh... because they call it "Shop light" instead of monolight or soft box. Oh... and because at OSH everything is painted red & black as opposed to just black from B&H.
In any case, I'm seriously wondering about why photographers would pay through the nose for lighting if they can get a bunch of practicals & bulbs for hundreds (in some cases thousands) of dollars less than the "official" stuff.
I'm thinking of investing in some muslin back drops. With some stands, $9 OSH lights, gels, and a bulb buffet, I think I can do just about anything!
I'm so glad I got to learn from the movie-makers!!!
