#331 Watch Your Back
Of all the people Inuyasha had ever stood back to back with, Sesshomaru had never been one of the ones he’d ever expected to end up with. Though, that was probably due to the fact that prior to about a day before, he’d always expected them to be at each other’s throats. He still expected to be at his brother’s throat next time he saw him. Right now however, they had people to save or rather, Kagome and Rin.
It was almost like a mirror scenario to the time they’d fought for Sounga. They were fighting for the same two women and it was yet another time the brothers were watching the other’s back. However this time, Sesshomaru was fighting for Kagome, and he, Inuyasha was fighting for Rin.
And damn it, if this didn’t end soon the women they were fighting for were going to be dead.
“Sesshomaru, I going ahead!” he yelled over the clang of swords. “Watch my back.”
“Hm.” It wasn’t the best reply but it would work.
Inuyasha rushed forward, pushing back the evil instead of stopping to kill every one. Normally this wasn’t the best idea but he was in a hurry to save his ex-wife and his current wife. Even now this wasn’t a great idea, especially when he wasn’t wearing his fire rat haori and his enemies had deadly sharp swords.
He heard a yell, a clang, a thud and his brother say, “Next time I may not have your back.”
