It's that time again!
Time for another too-early-in-the-morning update. Yesterday was the first day of RA training, and it was friggin EXHAUSTING. We started at 9am, and didn't get finished until 10 after 10pm. Today looks like it'll be another long one, starting at 8:30am, but I have this feeling it won't go as late. We had to do room inspections (and fill out UCF's - Unit Condition Forms) for a couple hours last night, and then our homework was to finish them and copy the ones (by hand) that we needed for those rooms that will have two occupants. Tonight I'm sure we'll have some more homework. From what I could tell, we will have homework every single night.
They also said that throughout training, we are not allowed to have guests, and that we are not allowed to drink. Small sacrifices to make the end result better, but it sucks...finally got my own dorm room and I can't drink yet. Oh the irony.
We have to design a bulletin board for our floor (you know, like the ones your elementary teachers used to do for their rooms). The theme for this month is "Team...is it in YOU?" I'm not a creative guy, so if anyone can give me suggestions, I'd love to receive them! :-)
Okay, must go get dressed and head down to breakfast...the best part about training? Three free meals a day, plus snacks during the night meetings!!!
