fighting mini-essay

Because Joshua seems to be getting himself into more fights, this is just a general post to refer to how he fights, his abilities, and so on.

Now, the first time Joshua fights is rather. . . special. I'm just going to link for great confusion: One! Two! Three!

In case you missed it, he just covered a whole beach in the pieces of some fifty demons in a couple of minutes, and got a scratch on his hand for all his work. He did this with seemingly no weapons, and really none would help considering the size of his opponents. So, the logical assumption is that he did all of that. . . bare-handed. It makes sense too, considering he learned how to fight from Aion! Who is a demon! And demon have claws they can fight with, so bare-handed really is their fighting style! And honestly, no one should ever give Joshua a weapon to begin with, a fact the Sinners know very well. So, Joshua can stab, rip, and nearly cut with his hands-- This is nine times out of ten how he will fight.

To help in that, he also has a number of abilities which include: inhuman speed, inhuman strength, quick reflexes, lots of agility, creating defensive barriers, flying when wings are out, and time freeze. He doesn't get very creative with these though! He sticks with just brutal clawing, and pulls out time-freeze mostly to keep himself from getting hurt. The most he's accomplished in camp is freezing parts of someone's body and forcing them to separate from the time frozen parts which is the first and only time he used it offensively, because it drains him to use it. He also stole a gun off of Rosette before she left, but that's only for playing with. If the gun is out, then he has no real killing intent for the most part. He just wanted to play with his new toy that time with Chrno. ♥

Now, as much as h@x as Joshua is, he does play fair a little bit. Which is to say, he won't listen to thoughts while he's fighting. He does a better job blocking them out when he's fighting, because he's tipping more into his demonic, no-holds-bar side. Last but not least, Joshua is an idiot. . . No, really. He gets essentially a cross flare thrown in his face and hurts himself as he touches it then another gets thrown at him and he touches it again. I really don't play up his dumb side enough, but it's there so there's always a good chance he will have a sudden rash of not thinking at all in the middle of a fight for no reason.

And I'm open for any other questions or comments related to the above or anything else here. Think of it as round two of that question meme from earlier.
