Oh My.

Real life is so hard. So hard.

Sometimes I have to stop and wonder, how the hell did I end up here? It seems so surreal that I can still remember so much of my childhood, nearly every day of my adolescent years, and the wonderful, turbulent near-adulthood that were spent mostly in the safe confines of university, and now be in this spot, in my early twenties, running in the rat race, pretending and trying very hard to be grown up when in reality I mostly have no idea what I'm doing. Most days, I feel like a bundle of emotions and hormones, wound tight like a rubber ball, only to be a splat on the wall by the end of the day. I know people have said it before, and I say it now: real life is the shit. It beats you up and tears you down, until you're stripped to nothing but the bare essentials, bloodied, sweating, and bruised, but oh-so-grateful to be alive.

Okay, that may have been a little dramatic, but I'm telling you, every day that I survive this monster called the corporate world, I would have to say that I'm not doing as bad a job as I thought I was. I just have to remember that I'm still wild and young, that I should not lose myself, should not forget to dream, and I know I'll be all right.

That was all. I'm just in awe of reality right now.
