The Lady looked at the pile of packages on the table.A weeks worth of shopping for wedding kimonos wasted. they retrieved the kimonos after Kagome texted them Kagome just had to rub their faces in it by showing off her mother and father's wedding kimonos
She did not say anything to Kaogme, but it was hard to hide her disappointment from Rin. How could Kagome turn down her help and opt for those dingy old rags. She knew from experiencend that It was bad taste to reject the advice of a future mother-in-law.
Rin listened patiently. It was a waste of time to argue with Lady. She knew that well after five hundred years. The best thing they could do was find something to take the Lady's mind off Kagome rejecting the proffered wedding kimono.
It suddenly occurred to Rin. If they returned the kimonos themselves they would have an excuse to go shopping There was nothing the Lady liked more than shopping for clothes. They had been so engrossed in buying clothes for Kaogme's wedding that they ignored the fact that they had nothing to wear for the wedding.
"Honored Mother. The wedding is next week Yet we have nothing to wear to the wedding. Why don't we make a day of it? We can return the wedding kimono and buy our own kimonos for the wedding. Kagome needs to learn how to dress. What better way of doing so than outshining the bride at her own wedding"
The Lady smiled. Rin always knew how to cheer her up. Rather than being upset about Kagome's rejection of her wedding kimono, she and Rin would show Kagome what she was missing by not being fashionably dressed. They would be do their best at the one thing they did best in the world . Shopping.
