I hope everyone is enjoying their new year, even if it only just started :). With the start of the new year I will be starting the three sites up again. At the moment, all winner and participation banners are caught up, not counting the ones we were still voting on, on all sites but Unsung Heros. I have all the banners ready on that one, just need to add the infomation such as title and author. Hope to have those up soon as well.
Now for the changes...Due to the low number of members we have participating across the board and the sheer number of banners I got behind on, I have decided to make the following changes on all three sites;
- All sites will now have the same participation banner format for each prompt. Depending on which site it is for it will say IYFF, IB4Y 2.0 or Unsung.
- Quotes will no longer be listed on the banner itself, as they tend to be too long anyways, just the author's name. The full quote will be posted on the new prompts post. You still do not need to use the quote in its entirety.
- Winner banners will be the same format across each site as well and will use the participation banner image on all award places. They will still list which site, placing, author and title the banner is for.
- Each site will now have only one prompt a month, at least until we have the participation to warrent more prompts. That will still give you three prompts a month from my groups alone.
- For Unsung Heros, I will be combining the two prompt types so instead of having a drabble and one-shot, we will now have a prompt that requires 500+ words. This gives a little more room to write since you will only have the one prompt, but without having to manage the full 1000 words. There is no cap on words. All enteries must still be in a minor character pov.
- For Inuyasha Fanfiction (IYFF) I am dropping the drabble and keeping the one-shot prompt. It will remain 500+ words like with Unsung and again there is no word cap.
- For IB4Y 2.0, I am keeping the three types of prompts-word, image & phrase-, they will simply take turns in order to have one each month. Janurary will be a word prompt, Feburary an image prompt and March a phrase prompt. And so on. All prompts will now be 500+ and no word cap.
- Changes to voting. The only change I am making here is the number of enteries needed to vote. Allowing the need for only three to vote on first, second and third is one of the main reasons I got so far behind on banners. Only one still receives an automatic win. Need 2 to vote for first. Need at least 3 to vote for second. Need 5 to vote for third.
- As there will only be 12 prompts per site each year, for now, I will be posting all prompts on the home page so you will know what is coming up if you wish to continue working on them. Just remember, you can only post on the site post the new prompt post goes up containing that prompt. Also, once you post the entry on the corrisponding site, you can continue to post it on your own site. It simply has to be posted on correct prompt site first.
If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment and I will be happy to answer them.
