Damn you Guitar Hero and Rock Band! Every time I hear these songs on the radio or my computer or wherever, I can't help but seeing the damn row of four or five colored spots or the visualization of the vocals!

I'm curious, Tim, about what your thoughts are on Obama's presidency up to this point. I pretty much always enjoy your thoughts and insights and I'd like to know what you think.

Obviously, I'm not trying to start a debate (I'm talking to you, the rest of Livejournal users!), just wondering what everything looks like from where you're sitting.

It was a fitting end to what has been, for the last 8 years and forever after, my favorite show. I almost cried, but then I remembered I was a guy, so I put up some drywall.

I really hope you get this job! Good luck man, sounds like you'd be perfect for it. Knowing employers though, you're probably right about keeping expectations low just in case.

That sucks about unemployment? You should "raise hell" as it were.

P.S. - I do that with rock band/guitar hero music as well. It's frustrating!

I got the call back today. I start Monday, officially and for sure! I am quite hopeful, as there are a few signs I've gotten that this will work out quite well for me.

Raising Hell with the government rarely gets one anywhere. It just goes to show that these safety nets have huge holes in them and one should take it on oneself to prepare. I really thank finding Dave Ramsey; his advice got me through this more than anything else and I don't think I would have been prepared had I not saved up like I did...
