Future Career?
In mulling over what it is I will do with my future, I have considered what I'd like to do in the performing arts. Specifically, comedy. I have been assembling some material that, when refined, can be made into a live stand-up act. Of course, I have no idea if it's actually funny to other people. They're mostly just little lines and quips I thought of during the course of my day, but after watching many other comedians, I realize that's all the majority of their material is.
Of course, I don't seriously expect to spontaneously generate some kind of quasi-famous comedy career, but it would be interesting to know where I could start something like that. I'd just have to get over my lack of public speaking experience...
Ah well, a pipe dream perhaps. And I'm not talking about a dream involving use of narcotic-smoking apparatuses...
Tomorrow is my last day at MarTek. On midnight, I will have already been paid for the full week, but I will still show up. To save face. And because I have nothing else to do tomorrow.
Maybe I can become a professional hobo... Or maybe I can become a gravedigger. I can only assume there is a need for gravediggers in these times...
