Mail TIME!

So yeah, actual stuff news, this time. Open up the mail today, and two AWESOME things came in one package. Behold!

Don't worry, I'll explain both. This is a 'splatbook' for Vampire: The Requiem. The term basically means, "Hey, this is some neat stuff we thought up for a specific clan, or group, or whatever, that we're making totally optional, but if you like, here it is". This is one such book, dealing with the Mekhet Clan. There are six clans in "Vampire: The Requiem", each having something to do with the various myths and the like of the vampire, be it their hideousness (The Nosferatu), their connection with animals and beasts, (The Gangrel), the hedionist, who lusts after the odd and rare artist and the like, (The Devra), the mighty ruler and corrupt leader, (The Venture), or the schemer from the shadows, always lurking behind each and every corner, with information you thought you'd never hear again, (Finally, The Mekhet). As a big fan of the Mekhet, I knew I had to snag a copy. Book is beautiful to boot

Secondly, we've the bigger of the two books, still V:tR related

This is, as the name states, The Danse Macabre. The term itself is used, "in game", as a way of referring to the overall patterns and details that any one vampire or group, or what have you, end up taking, in order to continue living, if you'll excuse the pun.

Danse Macabre: the book, on the other hand, is almost a source code manual for the overall Vampire: The Requiem line, being more of a "Ok, we've told you all the rules, various things you can work with, and what have you, in all our other books, here's how you can break everything apart and just go nuts." Aside from the above, the reason I ordered this, is that it's rumored to be one of the last of three published books in White Wolf's nWoD line, as they were bought out by an MMO company last year, or two years ago, or whatever, and they're apparently shifting focus away from the printed line, which worries me. I can't stand reading via PDF, as I don't have a tablet, or iPad, or whatever, and even that isn't the same as an actual book in one's hands. Hope we're wrong though....

Anyway! Yeah, so two more things to enjoy and kill space with!

vtr, mail. why i order from amazon, vampire, mail
