Woot Woot! I went to Misquamicut beach yesterday, and it was absolutely beautiful! :D The weather was supposed to be cloudy and not so nice, but it was blue skies with fluffy clouds and sun when we got there at like noon. Stephanie came with us, and seeing as we went to bed at 3 am and had to get up at 7, we slept for most of the 3 hour ride down (we hit major traffic). The only thing is there weren't any huge waves so I couldn't really boogeyboard, but I wasn't really complaining. Stephanie was showing me how to skim board, hah she's a lot better at it than I am. I can't even stand up on the thing :P. There was a really cute guy who could skim board amazingly... I should have asked him for some tips haha... I love cute beach boys.
We left at like 5 and drove around for quite a while in search of a McDonalds, since we didn't eat any real food while we were there. We finally found one, ate, and went in the McDonalds play park. Oh My God. I haven't done that since I was like nine years old. Yay for rekindling my youth! Haha, and me and Steph got to sit in the middle seats in the van on the way home, it definitely was better than being squashed in the back. We rocked out to Fall Out Boy And MCR. Fun times. :)
I brought home a little bit of the ocean in a Starbucks double shot bottle haha.. and I found a sea shell :) Overall it was a pretty awesome beach day.
When I get my license I'm driving up to Hampden Beach, anyone up for it? I love the boardwalk and I want to see a sunset at the ocean...
Today was uneventful, the sunburn on my face is completely gone now which is good. I *finally* finished "The Jungle," it is the most depressing book ever.. I'm just glad its over, so now I only have 6 more books to go. Woohoo, who thinks I can really finish this before school starts? I'd like to be optimistic, but I vote probably not.
Ah well, here's for trying and thinking with a "half-full-glass" attitude. Wish me luck, I'm going to read now,
later.
