It reeks of strawberries!
Today was a very busy today. The gf_guerilla and I went out to Macy's. I had two gift cards in my pocket, yet couldn't find a thing I wanted to buy.
Then we went to Moorpark to buy smoke alarms from the Ace Hardware store there. It's the closest hardware store that sells the replacements for our house hard-wired smoke alarms. Sadly, even though I called last week to order four and they promised that four would be held for me, there were only two. Apparently someone with a very sad story of dire need has my other smoke alarms.
We walked to a print shop, as in art-prints, not type fonts, and looked at what was displayed on the wall. The gfg liked a few things. I didn't find pleasure in any of it. We went back to the car and drove out to Somis to go to the Underwood Farm Market.
That's where the reekiness of strawberries comes in. Fresh picked, huge, juicy, deep red strawberries. The gfg bought six boxes, I bought three. The car smells of strawberries. My kitchen smells of strawberries, and I'm pretty sure the CAHWYGUY will get a good snootfull of that lovely smell when he gets home.
We then ran a secret errand that we can't talk about. Let's just say it involves chocolate.
Then lunch, pick up the Karate Teen, and home to drop him off. Back out to Gelson's for me. $191 passed out of my hands and into theirs.
And now I'm strawberry-scented and exhausted.
