I was just at the grocery store and walked by the display of Halloween things and saw a couple of small shelves of bottles. I thought they were props or cider, etc., but on closer examination I found out they really contained alcohol!
There were 2 red wines (a merlot and a pinot noir) with black and red labels that said Vampire on them. They were actually very tastefully done and not lured at all. There were also to different ales in what looked to be about pint bottles - very old-fashioned looking. A pale ale called Wychcraft and a dark ale called Hobgoblin. There was also a bottle of Pumpkin Spice liqueur.
I'm not much of a wine or beer drinker, but I'm giving consideration to the liqueur. They keep forever and can you imagine how it would jazz up a pumpkin pie? Mmmmm.
I love fall. It's my favorite time of year! Clear, cool, crisp days - today is absolutely perfect! 64 degrees, light breeze, bright sunshine and a deep blue sky.
Fall is a wonderful respite from the heat of summer and a lull before the silly season begins. My only complaint is the the fall color is playing hookey. We've had plenty of moisture lately to ensure good color, and we've had some cool days and evenings even though we had a week in the middle of unseasonably warm weather. But the colors haven't really started to show yet! Pooh! I have my camera all ready (for a change).
How's fall coming along in your neck of the woods?
