I made the strategic decision today to do nothing. Or at least as near to nothing as I can get away with. That includes not doing laundry. I just needed a day to recuperate before starting the new week. Of course tomorrow when I get home from work and have to do it then I'll probably be cursing myself as a sloth and wondering what the hell I was thinking but for today I just needed to chill. I'm not doing anything that takes me more than 10 min unless it's sitting on my ass because the last 3 days of intense heat (not to mention the 6 day work week) just sucked the energy right out of me. Last night I realized that even though I drank water constantly yesterday at work I hadn't peed between 10 am when I started my shit and about 8 pm because I was sweating so much and that's without spending that much time outside. Thank god my urinary track system seems to be back on an even keel - which I'm sure you're all delighted to hear.
I made a pot of ham and beans (less than 10 min of work at any one time), put in some bean seeds to soak for the day so I can stick them in the ground before I go to bed (also less than 10 min total). I may throw together a foaming, fizzing facial cleanser/scrub that I've been wanting to try. It's all powder that you just whiz in the coffee grinder so next to no time at all. Then you just take 1/2 tsp or so, add a few drops of water and watch it foam and fizz before massaging into your face. But maybe not. We'll see. I just watched the first Avengers movie and I'm about to watch The Age of Ultron. Maybe start on the Captain America movies after that. Again, we'll see.
There were no casualties on the balcony last night from the storm and I didn't lose power for more than a few seconds although my cable and internet were interrupted on and off (more on) from last night until about 10 this morning. It seems to be back on for good now.
Oh well, I've been doing this for longer than 10 min and now I'm just exhausted! Time to rest.
